SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS
Project D Drift School
CHAPTER 1 – SPECIFIC EVENT REGULATIONS
1) ORGANISATION and STATUS
1 The event shall be held under the International Sporting Code of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (F.I.A.), the National Competition Rules (NCR’s) of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS), Drifting Standing Regulations, the CAMS Passenger in Vehicle Guidelines, these Supplementary Regulations, and any Further Regulations or instructions to competitors that may be issued.
The event will be conducted under and in accordance with the CAMS OH&S and Risk Management Policies, which can be found at www.cams.com.au
2 The event will be a non-competitive drift driver training event consisting of multi-car Drift training, the action of driving a vehicle in a series of controlled slides throughout a pre-determined circuit.

2 Maximum number of entries accepted will be 24.
3 Entry Fee:

4 The organisers reserve the right to accept or reject entries at their sole discretion, in accordance with NCR 83.

1.6) DRIVER BRIEFING
1 All drivers and competitors, without exception, are required to attend the compulsory drivers briefing commencing at 9am DATE TBC in the Driver Training Building.
2 Proof of attendance will be the sign on sheet that MUST be signed when arriving at the briefing.
1.7 ABANDONMENT
The promoter of the event reserves the right to postpone, abandon or cancel the event at any time. Project D Drift School maintains a ‘No Refund’ policy, which may be reviewed by the event promoter.
1.9) SCRUTINY
1 All scrutiny will be STRICTLY limited to one session conducted in the Scrutineering Shed on DATE TBC from 8.30am - 9.00am, unless otherwise advised. Self Scrutiny will not be permitted.
2 A team member must be present with the vehicle at the nominated scrutineering time.
3 All vehicles must comply with Schedules A & B (Articles 1,7,8,9,10,11,12,15,& 17 only) of the current CAMS Manual and must be competition ready with all loose items removed from the car.
4 All drivers apparel (helmet, overalls, gloves, etc) must be presented for inspection during the nominated scrutiny session.
5 At the request of the Chief Scrutineer any vehicle may be required to pass a Safety Check.
1.10 ANTI DOPING POLICY
During any event, consumption of alcoholic beverages in the paddock, pits or any other portion of the competition venue under the control of the officials is expressly forbidden until all practice or competition activity is concluded for each day. Any driver or crew member who is found to be affected by alcohol on the day of the event or practice therefore shall not be permitted to participate. Refer NCR 145A of the Current CAMS Manual. In addition, the persons concerned will be subject to the Articles of the Standard Operating Procedure for Alcohol Testing and CAMS Anti-Doping Policy. Competitors, crews or officials may be randomly tested for alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) or other drugs at any time during the event(s).
The CAMS Anti Doping Policy, as appears in the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport and as amended from time to time, is recognised as an integral component of the NCR and is duly authorised as such. In any areas where the National Competition Rules and the CAMS Anti Doping Policy conflict, the CAMS Anti Doping Policy will take precedence
1.11) INSURANCE
1 Insurance will be provided in accordance with Appendix I of the CAMS Manual.
CHAPTER 2 – GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
2.1) APPAREL
All drivers and passengers must be attired in accordance with Schedule D of the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.
2.2) Noise level
The maximum exhaust noise level permitted for cars in this event is 95 dBA.
2.3) Open top cars
All open top cars must be fitted with CAMS approved rollover protection.
2.4) DRIVERS CONDUCT
a) No driver body part may protrude from the vehicle and the opening of vehicle doors will not be permitted whilst participating in the event.
2.5) FLAGS
The following flags will be used during this event:
Yellow Flag |
This will be used to indicate a problem ahead. |
Red Flag |
This will be used to indicate a severe problem ahead and the driver must prepare to stop immediately. The event has been stopped. |
